Three days after her debut took the grand prize, it replayed over the rubble of the fallen hall. The same piece has never once been performed twice. Yuju flipped the detective’s card over and began sketching notes in the margin.

Yuju knew the piece. It played at the ceremony, and again the night the hall came down. Yet the official record listed a single performance.
